Join us in leading the online retail challenge and designing the best digital shopping experience.
Leadership skills required
We make it possible for our customers to shop whenever and wherever they want, from whatever device they choose, with a personalised service that inspires loyalty. We see our Grocery Home Shopping website as a Tesco store – and it’s the biggest store in the company.
We’re always looking for ways to make things better for our customers, for example with flexible delivery and collection choices. Our other main tasks are bringing online users to the store through our channels and marketing.
We also work with our Commercial teams to help each department to make the most of online opportunities and find new ways of making our online range the best it can be.
We’re looking for talented people, ideally with experience in e-commerce. You’ll need to be creative, analytical and pragmatic, with an appetite for learning and all things digital. You’ll be able to thrive under pressure, be well organised and practical, and manage issues, decisions and stakeholders.
Above all, we need people who can help us to make sure that our customers have a seamless and trouble-free online shopping experience, while meeting our business targets.
You’ll work with teams across the business, always keeping a sharp eye out for best practice and opportunities to take us forward.
With more and more people shopping online, especially when they're always on the go, the digital marketplace has become a crucial battleground. Customers demand speed, convenience and quality and that is exactly what Dotcom is offering them. As of now, customers can now shop for groceries, fresh products and general merchandises not only through our website but also from our newly launched Tesco Groceries mobile application.
In Dotcom, we have colleagues who are responsible for raising awareness of Dotcom by marketing it to our customers. This can be executed through our online asset or by publicity in our Tesco stores. In short, the challenge is to make our customer's life easier while maximizing our sales potential. This is made possible by using analytical tools to gain insight into customer behaviour while constantly reviewing the digital marketplace to make sure we're at the forefront of web development.
Meanwhile, some of them serve to ensure that our site stays up and running as well as developing and maintaining a whole host of systems to guarantee goods are delivered from our stores directly to the customer. Here, we will need the help of our colleagues in the Operations team to hand pick quality products from our stores and deliver the ordered goods all the way to our customer’s doorstep.
A seemingly simple yet exciting job opportunity is placed right before you and we hope to have you with us as we evolve to give our customers the best digital experience!
We want you to always feel at ease in your new working environment. That’s why we’re doing everything we can to help you enjoy the work you do.
